About the Arctic Cat Pantera
The Arctic Cat Pantera name has long meant comfort and style for serious trail riders. Late-’70s and early-’80s Pantera models typically used fan-cooled or liquid-cooled twin-cylinder two-stroke engines in the 400–500cc range, delivering smooth midrange power and solid top-end for lake runs. Electric start and oil injection were common, and the long, plush seat with backrest made two-up riding easy. Slide-rail rear suspension, generous fuel capacity and the sleek black bodywork with orange striping helped cement the Pantera as one of the benchmark luxury trail machines of its era.
